End of Baseball
Well, only for one of my boys. Today was the end of the beginning of my middle's baseball career. He had a great game today batting well all three innings and getting on base all three times.
Our hitting coach finally got him hitting the ball down the third base line so he could get his little legs moving fast enough to make it to first. He's left-handed, so the whole process of the coach pointing toward third base without the defense understanding how to make the adjustments, and him scooting his feet around home plate to get the ball to go in that direction almost always brings me to a belly laugh.

Little kids playing baseball
I love the way kids are so willing to love my son for who he is. I was watching him and his teammates today at baseball thinking how wonderful the world would be if we were all little kids playing baseball.

Kerberos Who?
Do you ever get an error window pop up asking you for a Kerberos Password? Not to fear. There is a simple band-aid fix. There may be deeper issues that need to addressed with the system admin, but this will work for now.
Navigate your way to the Keychains directory by:
opening your user directory > Library > Keychains.
You will see a file titled login.keychain. Delete it. That's it! You should now be free from Kerberos.

Samuel's a Success
Thank you Dan for making Including Samuel. In a way, I feel you made it for my wife and I to help us along our journey. I'm sure other parents and guardians have and will feel the same after watching such a superb description of societies failure to fully integrate the last truly segregated subculture of our time: those with disabilities.

Riding The Rails
I finally got a chance to take the boys on the new light rail train that runs from our home town to the coast. My oldest liked it, but my middle LOVED it. He is way into trains. You know, he has the whole Thomas The Train setup at home that he plays with daily.

What's Best?
When will he talk? When will he be able to initiate communication beyond wants? When will we know he is getting the right education for him? These are only a few of the questions my wife and I are dealing with. Apraxia is such a crazy issue, because he fully understands what you are saying to him, and he is able to communicate back with some garbled words, gestures, and/or sign language; but, only my wife and I know exactly what he is communicating. How will he communicate with others so they can understand?

Spring Training - Day 2
After a restless night of tinny feet in my kidney, I needed some "good" coffee. Of course the hotel only served Maxwell House, mmmmm yummm!

Spring Training - Day 1
We should be off this morning by 9 am the latest. A beautiful morning it is. The sun is just peaking over the hill to the east of us, and the skies are dusted with thin streaks of clouds. Should be another warm one for southern California, even warmer for Arizona.
