How To
Kerberos Who?
Do you ever get an error window pop up asking you for a Kerberos Password? Not to fear. There is a simple band-aid fix. There may be deeper issues that need to addressed with the system admin, but this will work for now.
Navigate your way to the Keychains directory by:
opening your user directory > Library > Keychains.
You will see a file titled login.keychain. Delete it. That's it! You should now be free from Kerberos.

My iPhoto Locked Up!
If your iPhoto blesses you with a locked error message when loading, don't loose any sleep over it. It's a simple fix.
To rectify the situation and regain access and a sense of self-worth, navigate to iPhoto Library directory by opening Pictures > iPhoto Library. Once there, delete the iPhotoLock.data file then reopen iPhoto.
Access your files from home
Are there times you would like to access your files from home to work on the project that is due tomorrow? Well, now you can. Follow this step-by-step tutorial to find out how.
Working with LARGE files over networked homes
Even though Network Homes is not supported by Apple, it is the best solution for our student and network setup. One issue regarding Network Homes occurs when working with large files from applications like iMovie, Garageband, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. This How-To serves to help alleviate the problem of slow network speeds and dropped server connections.
So let's get started. The idea is to by-pass the network while working on the file by saving it to the local hard drive. When finished with the project, we then move the file to the user's Documents directory. I will use Garageband for my example application. Here's how we do it in two easy steps:
Ask for "Help"
Ever find yourself stuck using an application like iWeb or iMovie HD longing to know how to do something? Well, don't forget about the "Help" menu in the top menu bar on your computer. Apple and third party venders have spent lots of time developing the help menus to ease the pain of the learning curve.
Have at it and have fun!
Sharing Photos
You can share your photos with others on the same network who have iPhoto open. You have to make a simple change in iPhoto's preferences and you're ready to go.
